# About Katrin Freihofner

Katrin Freihofner is a product leader with a sharp eye for user experience and a deep passion for building products people actually want to use. Her journey through enterprise software powerhouses Dynatrace and Elastic gave her a rare blend of technical understanding and product intuition — the ability to see both what’s possible and what matters.

## Professional Journey

With extensive experience across product management and UX in developer tooling, Katrin has held impactful roles including:

- Co-founder & CPO at Straion: Shaping the product vision for AI context management, ensuring complex rule matching feels simple and intuitive for engineering teams.
- Product Lead at Elastic: Led the development of AI-driven observability workflows, managed international teams, and helped shape how enterprise customers interact with complex monitoring systems.
- Product & UX at Dynatrace: Honed her craft in turning dense, data-heavy interfaces into clean experiences — learning firsthand what it takes to build tools that engineers adopt and love.

## What Drives Katrin

Katrin believes the best developer tools are the ones you barely notice. They just work. At Straion, she’s obsessed with making rule management feel effortless — because if keeping standards up to date is a chore, nobody does it. Her experience managing international teams at Elastic taught her that great products aren’t just well-designed — they’re built with empathy for the people using them across different contexts, cultures, and workflows.

## Beyond Work

Katrin brings the same precision and creativity she applies to product development to everything she does. Her diverse background in both technical and design-oriented roles gives her a unique perspective on building tools that bridge the gap between engineering complexity and human usability.
